Getting to know each other and course platforms. Introductions

Objectives

 

By the end of this week you will have

 

  • introduced yourself to the group
  • added your profile to the session wiki
  • done the ice breaker activity in our G+Community 
  • become familiar with the features of our G+Community and  wiki 
  • commented on the readings using the G+ Community
  • create a Credly account to receive a weekly badge

Activities

 

Task 1. Read the Getting Started page and explore the wiki

 

Task 2. Join our Google+Community and do a little icebreaking activity. Check this tutorial on how to post to Google + Community in case you have any doubts

You can add your name and location to the map of ICT4ELT 2016 members if you want. You can find a tutorial on how to edit the map here.

Task 3. 

Please join our wiki and post your introduction into the Participants'Profiles page.  Directions are found at the top of the page. You need to create an account with Pbworks and ask to join this wiki.
The video below guides you through how to join Pbworks. How to add your introduction and picture to the Participants page. It is very useful for newbies to wikis. 

 

 

 

 

Task 4. If you wish to receive a badge for your weekly tasks create a Credly account. By collecting all 5 weekly badges during the ICT4ELT  session you will receive the Certificate of Participation. Once you create your Credly account please fill in this form so we can easily find you on Credly. 

 

Task 5. Read this week readings  (at the bottom of this page) and post comments on the readings to the G+ Community.
